For an Inclusive Beijing+30 Review: DIWA and MIW engage, WFD and IDA join forces!

In 2025, the international community will commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Fourth World Conference on Women and the endorsement of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action in 1995 - Beijing+30.

A comprehensive national review will be undertaken throughout 2024 in countries, led by Governements.

In parallel, the civil society organizations will join forces to reflect on progress and gaps in the 12 critical areas of the Beijing Platform for Action, in the last 5 years.

DIWA and MIW, lately joined by IDA (International Disability Alliance) and WFD (World Federation of the Deaf) have been engaging together to ensure the Beijing+30 review will be more inclusive than ever, opening to French speaking countries and paying attention to women with disabilities with intersecting identities.

The Beijing+25 review led to unprecedented participation of women with disabilities in Africa under the leadership of FEMNET: the report "Rekindling the Beijing Fire of Revolution: Africa Beijing+25 Parallel Report" included the perspectives of women with disabilities shared by 15 organisations throughout the African continent.

DIWA and MIW, lately joined by IFA and WFD are engaging together to ensure the Beijing+30 review will be more inclusive than ever. More countries, more diversity!

We will increase our efforts to open up to French-speaking and portuguese-speaking countries and pay attention to women with disabilities with intersecting identities.
